The Rev. Bob Millott

Deacon

The Rev. Bob Millott serves as one of three vocational deacons serving at St. Andrew's.  He was ordained to the diaconate on June 14, 203 at St. Peter's Cathedral, St. Petersburg, Florida by The Rt. Rev. John Lipscomb. Deacon Bob served at Lamb of God Episcopal Church a joint Lutheran and Episcopal church in Ft. Myers, Florida.  He then transition to ministry at St. Luke's Episcopal church in 2006 and remained there until 2011.  In 2011, he and his wife,The Rev. Diane Millott moved to Cumming, Georgia to assist with caring for his in-laws. 

Shortly after relocating to Cumming, Georgia Deacon Bob and Deacon Diane were both licensed to serve in the Diocese of Atlanta at St. Columba's Episcopal Church.  At. St. Columba's Deacon Bob began a ministry to those in retirement communities and nursing home as well as those who were home shut ins. Another ministry Deacon Bob became involved with was the sale of donated plants to help furnish the kitchen and bathroom at Rainbow Village in Duluth, Georgia that helps abused single parents with children and served on their advisory board for several years.

In 2018, Deacon Bob and Deacon Diane relocated to Douglas, Georgia and through their realtor found St. Andrew's Anglican Church.  They had become disappointed with the theology of The Episcopal Church, USA and initiated a transfer into the Anglican Church in North America. Deacon Bob was received in the Gulf Atlantic Diocese on October 9, 2018.   At St. Andrew's he assists with pastoral care, taking communion to the sick, visiting at a senior retirement center, leading devotionals at multiple venues as well as volunteering at the Coffee County Food Bank. 

Deacon Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in accounting from the University of South Florida.  He has multiple hobbies and interests including H. O. model railroading, traveling and exploring European cathedrals and volunteering for Cochlear America.
